Ute Härting | u-matic and Sven Gareis | telematique [de] are a Berlin based visual artists duo. Their work with time-based media begins with live visuals to electronic music. The experimental approach and free visual improvisation form a basis that continues to accompany them to this day at audiovisual concerts and installations that incorporate interaction, sound and light. Particular interest is in the intangible such as the sense of time, blurring, processes of creation and erosion, the transformation of errors into content and perception phenomena that only arise in the moment or with physical presence, such as noise, stroboscopes or in a loop. Collaborations with artists working in the fields of music, programming and visual art are important for them a decisive basis for developing multi-layered design forms.
