The 9th edition of Clujotronic electro arts festival takes place between October 2-4 at the Art Museum of Cluj-Napoca and in the surrounding public space. One of the most loved festivals of the kind in Romania, Clujotronic proposes this year the exciting experience of a hybrid edition. Mix of online and offline events and meeting point for artists from Germany, France and Romania, Clujotronic 2020 transgresses the frontiers and takes further the passion for art and technology.
The new means of socializing, the new formats of alternative work and the access to new cultural content on different online platforms reshaped our digital life in the last few months. This year Clujotronic highlights the remote collaboration, while the fusion of art and technology translates itself through contactless interaction. New Media installations, collaborative digital art projects, workshops, debates, independent video games and exhibitions will guide the public into a world of creation with no physical boundaries, underlying the connection between individuality and community, mediated through digital instruments.
The official opening of the festival will take place Friday, October 2, at 8 p.m. with a video mapping in the Art Museum’s courtyard, realised remotely by Simon Lazarus, wide known French visual artist, audio accompanied from behind the modular synthesizers by JakoJako, German techno artist. This collaborative project combines hypnotic images, electronic rhythms and lyrics by Lucian Blaga.
Let yourself embarked on a hybrid journey of digital art and knowledge either offline or online, on Clujotronic Facebook page and website.
